In 1813 Joseph Noilly created his first French vermouth and it was his son, Louis Noilly who recreated this natural process, unique to Noilly Prat, by ageing wines outdoors in hundreds of oak casks in a walled enclosure, L’Enclos. Noilly Prat bares in itself a sense of classic French countryside and history in the making.
